13th November – Because it is important (to those who matter.)

I belong to an organisation that doesn’t just ask it’s members to be quiet. It wants  proper effort: smart ironed uniform; polished shoes; an effort at marching; standing listening; 2 whole minutes silent; being respectful.

Sometimes it seems over the top, then they meet the Vets.

The Vets appreciate the effort, the care and the kids suddenly realise why we ask them – not because it’s important to us, but because it’s important to the people who are most important that day.
