I love awards ceremonies for other people, but hate them for me.
Bizarrely I went to the county one so I knew no one would give it to me infront of people I knew!
It’s interesting to see what is important, and what goes unnoticed.
The group missed, the people who mean that all the others exist.
Where are the leaders?
All they left was footprints and all they took was memories.
Then Ents team were so much more than a group of individuals, we were a team. A team full of amazing people.
And they said thank you, and it’s appreciated.
And we talked and had a lure party and all was right with the world.
It was our last meeting the last time the balloons would be there. For tonight would be the closing ceremony.
Tonight would be the challenge as to who could remove the r from BrumJam
It was also the day of the ant powder on the puppy’s feet and flying ant day.
So today started with mushrooms…
And a pair of giant melons – for the children or childish.
It ended with touch rugby and a rainbow,
and the discovery that Fidget doesn’t mind strobe lighting or a disco but doesn’t like glow sticks in the dark.
It will always be Sunrise Day, the Anniversary of the First Scout camp on Brownsea.
A day spent on Brownsea, in Mexico, Japan, Holland, Canada, Switzerland and this year at BrumJam. I have so many reasons to be thankful to BP, and those are just the reasons from Sunrise Day.
This Sunrise Day it has mostly rained but these are the best days of our lives.
This is not a stick…
This is one of the giant breakfast sausages on camp!
